My First ASOS Fashion Finder Outfit

I'd recently signed up to Fashion Finder and thought I'd give my first outfit a go. It's actually so fun creating the outfits and putting them all together, even if people don't necessarily look at them I think its still good to create new styles and looks.

I'd definitely urge people to sign up and get into it. You can also post photos of your own looks, which I might have to try soon.

Review: Rimmel 60 Seconds

I decided to put off my dissertation for a bit longer and paint my nails, as my fingers and toes were looking a bit chipped. I'm loving bright colours at the minute so I decided to try Rimmel 60 seconds nail varnish. 

I got this as part of a Rimmel goodie bag at Clothes Show Live a few months ago and I've never used it before. 

Overall I was really impressed with it! I didn't exactly time if it was 60 seconds or not, but I'd say it was definitely pretty close. I'd just finished my little finger and my thumb was already completely dry, which I hardly ever seem to get with nail varnish. 

I did two coats and topped it off with a sparkly Miss Sporty nail varnish, which I bought cheap to try around Christmas time.

I'm definitely going to use this again, overall it has really good coverage and a nice glossy shine. I also have the polish in a bright purple and a dark red (I can't remember the names) so they'll be making an appearance soon.

My hair is now red, like it should be, so I'm super happy today! Going from blonde to red is such a change, all my clothes look different... all my lipsticks look different...

So, I was looking through blogs and online features the other day and I came across this website, www.girlprops.com. I originally thought it was just some cheesy website full of junk, but as I began to look through it I found some really good stuff!

Its American (and everything is obviously in $) but some stuff looks so cute. I'm particularly interested in the huge range of sunglasses they have on there, as I need some new ones for the summer and I want an interesting pair.

These look amazing and classy! They're $14.99, which I think in £ is around £10 (maybe?)

These are definitely one of my favourites, how cute?! I don't know if I'd ever wear them personally, but I think they're so different and they would definitely look so good in the summer!

These are $9.99, which is around £7! What a bargain!

Obviously one of the things to think about is shipping costs and stuff, but for an extra few pound/dollars I think its really worth it! I'm thinking about ordering the top ones so, maybe a review to follow?

What I Wore

I haven't ever done a 'what I wore' post before, so I thought I may as well give it a go! I went out for a catch-up with my friend to Frankie & Benny's, nothing flash, just casual with lots of pizza!

I didn't go too dressy, just jeans and a shirt. I've hardly ever worn this shirt as I never thought the colour suited my blonde hair, but now I've gone darker I'm definitely going to start. I also think its looks really good just casually thrown on over jeans.

How cute?!

I got this really cute cat eared ring from Ebay after seeing a blog post about one on Etsy. I love the things they have on there but the rings were costing anything up to £30!, so I decided to have a gander for one that wouldn't break the budget too much.

I think this was about £4. It took a while to get here, but when it came I had to order my friend one. She loves cats.

Polka Dot Nails

Review: OPI Unripened Mini

I decided to finally try OPI out after hearing some good things. I bought a little mini 3.75ml bottle for about £3.50 from Ebay and since they didn't have a huge selection I went for 'Unripened'.

Apparently its a black base with tons of blue and green shimmer...

To be honest, I'm not completely happy with the colour. On my nails it looks totally black with hardly any shimmer to it at all, and I had to put a fair new coats on to get full coverage. All in all I'm not impressed, but I intend to buy another OPI product and try that out! No doubt there will be a review coming soon...

A few purchases this week

So these are a few things I've bought this week. I'm trying to be good with money at the minute because I've got a holiday to pay off, but I find I can't help myself sometimes. I went to Westfield in Derby on Monday and didn't buy a thing, but I caved in when I went to Meadowhall yesterday.

Pastels are really big at the minute and I found that Miss Selfridge do a really good mixture of things, from nice going-out dresses to little cute tops and shirts. I'd seen this shirt a few days ago when I went to Derby, so I decided to get it. The picture isn't very good, but its a kind of peachy-pink colour with neon pink piping and buttons. Its so cute! I tried it on with blue jeans and I can't wait to wear it.

I'm quite liking scarfs at the minute! They're really good accessories to jazz up an outfit, and plus with the weather recently its definitely a necessity. This one has a feather print on it with a few birds and it goes with pretty much everything. Its really long, which is how I've been wearing it, and I guess you can always wrap it around the handle of your bag when you're not using it!

* I bite my nails really bad, but I have no idea why. I've finally begun to grow them but I can't help nibbling. H E L P !
