A Few Holiday Outfits

1. Vest - H&M / Shorts - Primark

2. Vest - Topshop / Shorts - Miss Selfridge (Christmas sale) / Sandals - Primark

3. Playsuit - H&M (Last summer) / Sandals - Primark

These are just a few of my night time outfits I wore while I was away on holiday. I went to Magaluf a few weeks ago now on a girly holiday. The weather was gorgeous and hot, but it did get quite chilly and windy at night. I didn't take anything too over the top and basically just lived in shorts and vests/crop tops at night, with the occasional dress or playsuit. I didn't buy anything too expensive as I knew it was more than likely going to get ruined from the crazy drinking nights out... kinda! Doing this post is giving me major holiday blues, good job I have another in the pipe line! Yay!

What are your favourite outfits to wear when you're on holiday?

My 22nd Birthday, better late than never!

Dress - Miss Selfridge

So my 22nd birthday was literally three weeks ago, and since I've dropped off the blogging network it seems like I have a lot to blog about. This is just a little post to mainly show what I wore out for my birthday and a few of the best snaps from the night. The day before my best friend surprised me with an amazing Spa morning at the Center Parcs in Sherwood Forest. I'd never been before and it was so amazing to literally relax in steam rooms, outdoor pools and jacuzzi's all morning before having a big night out.

I was feeling majorly old from turning 22 but you can always count on friends to cheer you up. The song '22' by Taylor Swift was a very fitting theme tune for that night, which the girls persisted to request in EVERY single place we went. Somehow, I felt less old dancing around to Taylor Swift...

I'm Loving: A Missguided Midi Dress

1 / 2 / 34 / 5

Midi dresses are my absolute favourite trend at the minute, I really cannot get enough of them. I think they are the perfect versatile dress that can be worn in the day time, as well as dressed up for a night out. I know I myself love to do this exact idea, and I think they particularly look amazing and so nice dressed up. I first started seeing these kinds of dresses in Topshop a few months ago, but there was no way I was paying their prices. Missguided is definitely my one-stop place to go for dresses for months now, purely for their price and amazing styles. They have so much to choose from and I can guarantee there is something for everyone.

I actually have the the fifth dress in my line-up in a dark grey colour and it is the comfiest thing I own! Perfect for the day but is really easy to dress up at night. I literally cannot stop buying these dresses.

OOTD - American Apparel Disco Pants

LOVE wrap dress (worn as top) - Topshop
Disco Pants - American Apparel

I never EVER do outfit posts or anything like this, just because I never think anyone would be interested in what I wear. The last ones I did were a few from my September holiday to Lanzarote, and that was mainly just to show of my tan! But I decided to try one last minute and show you all how I styled my Disco Pants when I went out last Saturday night. With there being about eight foot of snow and temperatures being freezing, I decided not to brave the bare legs and opted for my Disco Pants. I think everyone should own a pair, they're literally amazing and I wear mine so much. They're simple to dress up or just throw on a shirt or jumper to make the look casual: sorted!

I put mine with a LOVE dress that I blogged about last week (link here) that I picked up in the January sales from Topshop. To be honest when I was getting ready I totally didn't have this outfit planned out, and I literally threw loads of options into a bag before I went to my cousin's house. I stumbled upon this outfit and decided that it actually worked quite well together, as the dress was so easy to tuck into my Disco Pants.

I think this could work quite well for a casual look too, with some flats and a leather jacket. I opted for my New Look black wedges and my Primark studded clutch, which obviously I don't have here and decided to substitute with wine. I never know what to do with my arms in a photo so I guess holding the wine helped a tad.

I'm definitely going to try and do a few more outfit posts as they're actually quite fun to do! I'm thinking that this could definitely be my late resolution of the year... what do you think?

My Favourite Sale Buy - LOVE Dress

Love Dress - £19.00 (Topshop)

I picked this dress up at the beginning of January in the sales, but I've literally only just remembered about it after wearing it the other night. I've been a massive fan of Love for a while now, ever since my first purchase last year for my birthday night out. I actually bought this exact dress but in a green/blue colour but unfortunately the colour ran when I washed it. I haven't worn it since because I'm paranoid the colour difference is really noticeable, and I was gutted because its one of the comfiest dresses ever.

When I saw this little beauty in the Topshop sale I had to have it! I do sometimes struggle with the sizing because they only do a S/M M/L kinda thing, but with my other dress I tightened it at the waist with a belt and it was perfect. I do find the wrap dresses are a little big on the top half, so I usually put a black vest or strapless cropped top (I can't remember the exact name of them.) Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of me wearing it yet, as I was in far too much of a rush to take an outfit picture (bad blogger) but there's no doubt I'll be wearing it again soon.

Love have some gorgeous things on their website at the minute, I literally have to stop myself from buying every time I go on for a browse. I have an amazing backless dress that I still haven't worn yet from the last summer sale - maybe this should make an appearance soon when its a little warmer?

Are you a fan of Love? What is your favourite buy?

A Mini Christmas Catch-up

Wow, Christmas has been so busy that I literally haven't had any time to blog or really do anything. All I've done since Christmas Eve is work work work, apart from my day off on Christmas Day. Retail is crazy this time of year so my life seems to have been taken over my Matalan. In between that I've had time to see my family and catch up with them, which is definitely my most favourite thing about Christmas time. I'm a really family orientated person and I don't think there isn't a day where I don't see one member of my family (minus my parent and brother, obviously) I've also had a bit of time to hit the sales for a few hours, but to be honest I really didn't see anything that caught my eye. I'm planning a few more trips this coming week so hopefully I'll have some buys to show you.

This is just a little quick update, I'll be doing a post about my Christmas and some of the presents I received. I decided to just show you all a few things I got anyway, seeing as that seems to be the thing to do. I've had such a lovely Christmas so far and I'm very much looking forward to the New Year.

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas :))

My Winter Coat

Primark Coat - £20.00 (WAS £35.00)

I thought I'd give all you bloggers a little insight into this years Winter wardrobe, as I don't often do many fashion-based posts. I've seen this done on a few blogs that I've been reading recently, so I decided to follow the trend. Anyone who knows me will know that I absolutely love coats/jackets/blazers and I've actually started to build up a little collection. It really is as bad as me having three of the same style quilted jacket... but in different colours, but a girl can never have too many coats right?

I don't usually have a standard 'winter coat', as I usually just wear a jacket or blazer with things layered underneath. I saw this absolute beaut in Primark a few weeks ago on a little trip round Lincoln with my cousin and I instantly fell in love. I'd seen a slightly similar one in Topshop, but it was more of an oversized boyfriend blazer and had a lot more fur around the collar. As well as that the price was considerably more expensive and with it being Christmas, I just couldn't budget to spend that much on myself. Anyway, I found this little beauty and instantly had to have it. I did try and talk myself out of it (honestly) so I'm going to blame my cousin for making me buy it! It was also marked down at £20.00 from about £35.00 I think, or it may have been £40.00... anyway I definitely wouldn't have paid the normal price for it so I guess I got myself a bit of a bargain.

The coat itself is quite thick and even though it doesn't look it, it's actually super warm and cosy. The fur on the collar can be removed really easily with a few buttons, which to be honest I thought would have been off straight away. I've come round a lot to fur (faux obviously) and I've been longing for a fur scarf for agers now. The coat is zip-fastening too which I thought was very different, but actually I don't think I've even zipped it up yet and I've worn it nearly every day. I absolutely love the pattern too and I've found that I can wear it with just about anything, its a really versatile coat.

What do you think of my winter coat? What's your favourite style?

The Best Bargain Slippers

Primark Slippers - £3.00

This might seem like a bit of a lame and pointless post, but recently I've seen a few blogs doing a kind of 'favourite buy of the week' so I decided to join in. I never ever wear slippers and hate having anything on my feet, but I think I've got such bad circulation because my feet are ALWAYS cold. I decided that it was about time I grew up and actually bought some slippers, so made it a little mission. I saw these exact slippers on llymlrs and instantly fell in love! They're so Christmasy and cute, so I went straight to Primark and invested. They're super comfy and are all fleecy inside, so my feet are nice and toasty all the time! The huge pom-pom on the front is totally ridiculous but that's why I love them! Primark have some amazingly cute slippers at the minute too... maybe they'll end up being my new favourite thing!

Missguided Musts - A Few Casuals

I'm one of those people who never ever used to order online from anywhere other than the high-street shops, like Topshop and H&M, just because I absolutely hate the fuss of having to send things back if they're not right. Recently I've started to embrace online fashion brands such as Missguided and Love, and I'm not even too bothered about returning dramas anymore. I always always browse the Missguided website and there are so many things that I absolutely love! I simply couldn't do a post that included all of them, so today I decided to show a few casual items that I'm loving at the minute.

I think the prices on Missguided are really good and I don't think I've seen anything and thought 'Oh god I wouldn't pay that' like I find myself doing a lot in Topshop at the minute. I really love jumpers at the minute and I think they're so easy to wear with jeans now the weather's getting a little chillier. Shirts are my all time love and the studded cross detailing on the front of this one is gorgeous. I just wish it had a bit of collar detailing so I could wear it under a jumper... I think that would make me buy it in one. T-shirts are always a big staple of mine and to be honest, I hated anything Camo at first but this one isn't too in your face for me and I like the change of colours from the big thick greens.

What's currently on your Missguided wishlist?

What I Wore - 27/10

Beth - Black Dress - Primark
Me - Peplum Dress - Primark

I think this may be the first ever What I Wore post that I've done, or one of very few anyway. I never really have the courage to show off my outfits, but I decided that since myself and Beth made such an effort I may as well. Beth is my cousin and we do so much together, so it came around that it was time for our monthly night out. We don't usually tackle Saturday nights, mainly for the prices, but decided to give it a go. Recently I've really got into wearing dresses and I seem to have accumulated quite a few over the past few months. As readers know, I used to hate the Peplum style but after buying and over wearing a jersey Topshop vest, they are now one of my big loves!

This Peplum dress was from Primark of all places, and cost me a whole £16! How good is that? It is a really long, classic style and cut but I decided to shorten it a little and just put a little tuck in each side. I ended up wearing it long later on in the night anyway, just because I was sick of having to keep straightening the hem out. I teamed it with some open-toe New Look black wedges, which I absolutely love! I can only walk in a wedge and I've found New Look do amazing styles... not to mention the price is amazing and they are so comfy. Beth's dress was also from Primark and funnily enough her wedges were from New Look too, I kind of talked her round to buying some. I really want the dress Beth has too. just because it is so classic and I think you could genuinely wear it in a number of different outfits. Anything black is always good in my books, as long as you style it properly and use the right accessories.

What do you think of our outfits?

Daily Want #7

Tartan and Dogtooth Bodycon Dress - £35.00

Believe it or not, my best friend's mum wore this dress out last night and I absolutely LOVE it! She came in modelling it for us and I instantly said that I needed this dress in my life. Bodycon dresses have always been a favourite of mine and to be honest I only own a Peplum one at the minute, so what more of an excuse do I need? Tartan and Dogtooth are two massive prints this Autumn and I would never have thought of putting them together, but weirdly I absolutely love it. At £35 from River Island of all places I don't think anyone can complain. This may have to be a little mid-week treat for myself... I can just imagine what my Mum's going to say about my compulsive dress-buying at the minute.

What do you think?

Collar Tips and Tricks

1. ebay    2. H&M    3. River Island    4. ebay

I thought I'd do a bit of a fashion-inspired post today for a change, seeing as I tend to just concentrate on beauty and the occasional lifestyle post. Collar detailing is something that I've really got in to over the past few weeks, and it seems to be absolutely everywhere. It seems to be extremely popular on shirts and blouses at the minute in just about every store, so I decided to see how I could jazz up an old Levis shirt I got last year. I think it is actually a man's shirt but I love it! It's really oversized and comfy, and I really love the blue colour of it.

I bought some studs a few weeks ago and was very tempted to stud the collar, but I didn't really want to do anything that was too permanent in case I decided I didn't like it. Instead I decided to have a rummage round and see if I had anything that I could keep changing and swapping. As well as collar tips and detail, big statement necklaces are massive at the minute too, so what better excuse to have a play around with some different looks?!

The H&M necklace is something that I've started to wear a lot because it's so simple and goes with anything. The River Island necklace is a few years old and I actually forgot I had it, but I think it looks quite expensive and very vintage. Both of the collar tips are from good old ebay, which I actually don't have links for at the minute I'm afraid. I definitely know that if you type them in there are millions of choices, and I think mine were around £1.50 with free delivery from China. You have to wait a while for them to arrive, but for that price I don't think anyone can complain. There are loads of different things you can use to brighten up a plain collar, I think I'll definitely be investing in some more.

How do you jazz up your shirt collars?

What I Bought - Primark Shirt

Shirt - Primark, £12.00

How cute is this shirt? I'd seen it a few weeks ago and questioned whether to buy it or not, but decided against it after a friend said it was 'stupid.' Well, I think its pretty cute and looks very much like the shirts that everyone has been buying from Zara recently, but for a fraction of the price. I bought it yesterday after my Mum convinced me, which to be honest wasn't hard. I absolutely love shirts and blouses, they're such a staple item in my wardrobe and I tend to wear them for every occasion/situation. I think this one is probably more of a casual shirt that I'll wear with jeans or leggings, or smarten it up with a big statement necklace. I might actually wear it tonight with my favourite Zara jeans as a kind of casual outfit for a family meal.

At the minute, as I keep saying, Primark have some absolute gems in their stores. I think a lot of my future posts may involve items from Primark, so keep your eyes pealed guys.

Primark - Stud Central

Studded Jumper  and bag - both Primark.

I seem to have gone a little stud crazy lately, its like my little obsession at the minute. After my purchase of and blogging session about my favourite Primark studded shoes, I seem to be buying left right and centre. I even ordered some studs so I could make some things myself... I'm stud crazy. Anyway, I bought these two beauties a couple of weeks ago and I've only just gotten round to showing you. They're both Primark again, shock horror. At the minute Primark is looking like a really good place to go for different pieces, and I definitely think the quality of their products is improving. Plus at the prices they charge you cannot really complain.

I saw the studded clutch bag on a blog a while back, but it was from ASOS I think, and definitely wasn't £12.00. From then I was on the lookout for a look-alike and there this popped up in Primark. It's a really good size, as on a night out I seem to take half my make-up bag along with me as well as god knows what else. I'm loving clutches at the minute too, I just need to wait for an opportunity to use this.

The jumper was one of those things where you just want to buy something. I looked at it, didn't know if I liked it too much, so just bought it anyway. I thought I'd picked up an 8, until I got it home and realised it was actually a 10 on the wrong hanger... classic Primark! I tried it on thinking I'd be taking it back the next day, and was actually really surprised. It fits quite baggy and is super comfy, not to mention the Khaki colour is huge right now. I can't remember if it was £8.00 or £12.00, but either way I love it and I've been wearing it loads with jeans recently.

Studs are something that I think will never ever go out of fashion. I have a Zara leather jacket for Christmas last year and I'm still wearing it now. It has similar studding to the Primark jumper and I've been wearing it with everything.

Are you loving studs at the minute? What's your favourite studded item?

Daily Want #6

H&M Dress - £29.99

I haven't done a daily want in a while, mainly because I haven't really been shopping a lot or buying much since I got back from Lanzarote. I think I've only bought a few things for myself, which is really not like me. I decided to have a little window browse this morning while I have some free time before work, and to also look for little treats for myself. I have a love-hate relationship with H&M because some times there is absolutely loads I want, then a few weeks later there seems to be absolutely nothing I like. It's very hit and miss in my opinion.

Saying this, I decided to have a little look anyway and this dress instantly caught my eye. I think it was more the colour than anything else just because there isn't a lot of it about at the minute. I really like the cut of the dress too, but I can't help thinking it might be one of those things that looks lovely... until you try it on? I need a dress for my graduation in November and I'm really unsure if this is the right kind of thing, but I've decided that I really really want it. I always get a bit scared when I have to order something without trying it on, so maybe I'll keep my eyes pealed in the shops.

What do you think of this dress? Is it graduation-worthy?

Holiday Series - A Few Outfits

I wanted to do a little post showing some of the outfits I wore while I was away in Lanzarote. Admittedly I didn't take loads of pictures of what I wore, but these were just a few that I really liked. Lanzarote has gorgeous weather but at night it can get really breezy, so some nights I found myself covering up a little more with a maxi dress/skirt or a kimono. The regular day outfit was obviously a bikini then come sort of cover up, mainly a dress or playsuit, then a casual look at night time.

001. The maxi dress here is from New Look a few months ago. I absolutely love it! One problem is that it is very fitted, which makes it really see-through, so I actually bought the dress a size bigger to try and help this problem. It did work, but simular coloured,  no VPL underwear is advisable! I don't usually go for maxi dresses but this one was the perfect length and style with a t-shirt style sleeve. This is one item you could wear in the day or dress it up at night, and the colour is gorgeous too.

002. Everyone say Hi to my brother making an appearance in this! I didn't have one of just me in this outfit but I wanted to show it because I really like it. It's just a simple floral vest from Tesco (of all places) and high waisted denim shorts from Primark. This was one of the hotter nights in Lanzarote so something simple and cool was needed. I wore these shorts to death on holiday because they are so comfy. My friend has literally a matching pair from New Look that were around £20, which I love because mine were half that - love a good Primark bargain.

003. Prior to buying this dress, I'd literally had my eye on it for months. I originally wanted it as a 21st birthday celebration dress but after finding one I loved more, I totally forgot about this. On a trip to Manchester I then found it on sale in Ark, for £15, so I was completely sold and snapped the last one up. I thought it would be really see-through and clingy but it's actually lovely and I've really warmed to the cut-outs at the side. I love shirt-style dresses too and this has become an absolute favourite, I just don't know if I'm going to have chance to wear it again this wear.

What are your favourite things to wear on holiday?

ASOS Magazine - October 2012

This is just a little post to tell you about the brilliant free magazine ASOS sent me today. I've been sent their monthly magazine a few times in the past, and every time I've found that  its been my easy reading for weeks. When I buy magazines I tend to flick through them a few times, read a few articles, then end up throwing them away... but the ASOS magazine always seems to be the thing I can read over and over.

This magazine is the perfect mix of fashion, style tips and articles about my favourite thing - fashion. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love reading celebrity gossip as much as the next person, but sometimes I just need my pure fashion fix. Well this is definitely that, it literally has everything you need to know and read for the upcoming Autumn season. I love reading about what kinds of additions will be coming to ASOS and I also really like advise on how to wear certain items - I think that's one of the main reasons why I love reading this.

Not to mention the lovely people at ASOS included a cheeky Galaxy bar, which went down very well, thank you! If you sign up to ASOS you'll definitely receive this magazine at least one every few months. This is definitely going to be my plane reading on Sunday when I jet off to Lanzarote.
