Maybelline Colour Sensational Lip Marker

Maybelline Lip Marker - (£5.99)

After wondering around the small selection of beauty products my local Tesco has to offer, this had to be the only thing that stood out for me. A few weeks ago a friend was raving about a Max Factor lip pen she had just bought and to be honest, I've never thought much of them. I usually prefer a good lipstick, for the pure fact I think my lips look and feel a lot nicer with something that isn't too matte on them. I came across this lip marker and thought... why not!? There was a few pounds off this, making it £5.99, so in the end I gave in and bought it to try. I wasn't expecting much from it, but was curious about what I'd heard of them apparently being 'amazing.' I tested the different pinks out on my hand, as I never trust using the testers, and decided to go for the lightest colour available - called Tender Rose.

As soon as I tested a little patch on my lip I was amazed, and that isn't even an understatement. The first thing I noticed before the colour was actually the smell, and I think that's one thing that made me happy I bought it. I can't actually pin point the exact scent, but its really floral and sweet so I can't help but smell it before I use it. So back to the colour... It's a bit darker than it came out when I tested it, but I'm still really impressed. I usually go for really light colours but this is a really nice pink shade and its definitely something you could wear in the day and glam up at night too. I'm actually tempted to try the other shades too and maybe invest in some for day use.

Overall I take back everything bad I said about lip pens - this one is a favourite of mine after a few days. I've had so many compliments about the colour too, which is always good to hear.
